I can't see it working on anything but a Pi. You would have to write your own gpio.c, because the pibus software is written for a Pi only (Broadcom chip). And then you'd have to think about a DAC...

CTS must be done in software. It would be difficult without Pibus software. Maybe connecting to pibus's TCP port to send/receive is easier.
