I finished the job in about 3 hours and it solved...

I finished the job in about 3 hours and it solved the leak. The parts in those photos look very familiar. The old gasket was plasticized and came off in chunks. Very happy to be rid of my oil drips...

Talking Great bang for $60.

I replaced my vanos seals tonight and it did make an immediate difference in the idle quality. The car also drives a bit different, maybe smoother. This job was definitely worth the effort....

145k and still shifts extremely well. I did change the fluid at 140k and it made the car seem a little smoother. :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

The new mount went in perfectly... it took less than an hour to install once I got the car up on jackstands.
