Everything seems to be running great after a week of driving Pentosin ATF1 - shifting smooth and fast, good torque. I will do another flush since I didn't get everything out of converter last time.

"Final stage" usually refers to "final stage...

"Final stage" usually refers to "final stage resistor" in the HVAC system - common failure item on e46, again, not a reason for limp mode.

You have to have it scanned with BMW specific scanner...

Automatic diff has different input and output flanges. Input flange is not easy to change with high chances of messing your diff up if you don't have backlash caliper and don't know how to do it.

When changing the CSB, did you mark the drive-shaft position(s) and put it back the way it was? Flush the diff, check the CV joints in front and rear. I assume that your wheels have been balanced....
