I have a the 3,46 diff in my 323 (verts have it to compensate for extra weight) and my fuelconsumption i still great 0,85-0,95 L/100 km at normal(mostly hway) driving.

Good for u nothing happend, most likely ur car is fine, when skidding on grass nothing really happens. I ran of the road into a grassfield at almost 90 km/h in my old e36 and it was fine. Just a LOT...

Pretty sure its only the dealer that can reprogram the key, but im not sure thats ur problem. The chip in the key(for the immobilizer) can be bad. Mine has this and it turns everything in the car...

Yes they will work, all bmw with drive by wire (NOT 318,16) can have multi installed (ive done it myself on my 323 -00=) it requires a cable kit from bmw(basically 3 wires, u can make it yourself)...
