Mine runs normally at around 220........I did see 230 once while in stop and go traffic.
Not really sure I need an oil cooler just interested in how one could be fitted to the M54B30

Yah me neither.
Technik had a kit a few years aho that included a billet cap with in/out. No longer produced AFAIK

Where does this plate go and I assume there will still be an oil cooler required to do the actual cooling.

As I said earlier, double check the orientation...

As I said earlier, double check the orientation of the PCV. I had mine backwards and it caused the symptom you are describing

I put ST coils all around(my kids Z4). The rear needs to come up 1/2" and the front down 1/2"
The perch will work up front nicely and a 15mm upper pad in the rear?

Closed loop will expose any bad gaskets that may not have been noticable before.
My 1 year old VGC gasket leaked once I sorted out my CC install.
Torqued down the bolts some more and its all good.

Check that the hoses are routed correctly, I know you have...............VC to in on CC.
PCV needs to be oriented correctly also, I had mine backwards first time.

My kit (basically an E46 Kit with different...

My kit (basically an E46 Kit with different ducting) came with a 3.6 pulley
It's all to do with the tune though.
You are definitely lucky to be close enough to Frank to fine tune your set up
