Make sure to check the panel clips as well. They should each have a small vapor barrier washer and they are brittle as hell. Replaced mines and haven't had a problem since. Good luck.

If the wire went straight in without stopping then the piece is probably in the pan cause its a hallow bolt that closes up on the top. The oil should not leak out if the broken piece is still in...
