It was cam sensors, did both intake and exhuast...

I purchased the car a few days ago, didn`t notice the noise on the test drive, it goes well and doesnt burn any oil.

2001 E46 330ci ATF Thermostat (taken out)

The expansion tank cracked my on 330i auto

I replace it, but broke what I thought was a second thermostat at the bottom of the expansion tank during the process.
