Thanks all - correct it justs pushes back into the headlamp shell - bit tricky to do without breaking it, but I did it OK eventually.

Headlamp aim motor replacement

Guys

On one of my headlamps, the aim motor is faulty and I'm trying to replace it.

The problems is, how do I remove the plug from the plastic headlamp housing?

I though it would be a matter...

Did mine yesterday, well worth doing, it's taken most of the excess movement out when in gear too. The most difficult part of the job was pulling off the gear lever knob.
Changed the gearbox oil...

Guys,
I've ordered an E46 shifter and plastic bearing cup.
I'm sure it will be clear when doing the job, but ahead of that can someone just tell me whether the bearing cup that secures the shifter...
