Water in oil / loss of water / excess steam or grey smoke from exhaust would indicate head gasket. If losing water don't let it overheat!

Had a fairly new Saab 2.0L Turbo auto 'vert rental in Lanzarote recently.
Nice enough drive with the top down but despite the turbo the drive didn't come close to my 2004 330ci.
