My AL housing went ~100k miles no issues. So from my point of view its a solid piece. Can't buy them anymore though. At least I did not see any for sale.

So I pushed... and then I just held it there. Then the cylinder seemed to just compress again after a few minutes. Bada bing!

You may have to lift the rear seat cushion to remove the rear floor trim. When I did my sedan last week I had to do this and it made life a lot easier. Especially on the re-install.
