If your thermostat was stuck open you would get a check engine light and a error code of 19 - A8. I just replaced mine last weekend for the same issue.

I would check your temp guage instead.

I am getting the same codes as well 2001 330i with 153k miles. I was just going to replace the pre 02 sensors I will take a look at my idle adjuster. Thanks guys
