Thanks but I'm too far from CA to take advantage of the yards there and nobody will ship a piece of glass that big (called a lot of places). It seems like most of the wagons are West or East coast...

the button on my key has failed twice and I've opened it up and repaired it successfully. The switch underneath the rubber breaks it's solder joints and becomes intermittent.

Yes, I agree on the battery replacement probably being a waste. It's very easy to check the batt voltage with a cheap voltmeter while you have the key open. Rechargeable lithiums last a long time...

Remember those VGC nuts have a specific torque...

Remember those VGC nuts have a specific torque value. It's a "gently tighten" thing and they all need to be even. Good Luck!

No more smoke the last 5 days. I'm still collecting parts for the CCV and Vanos replacement etc. I hear a faint hissing if I'm not touching the brake pedal indicating a vacuum...
