These are alloy rims, you can't fix them with a hammer. They have to be fixed by a professional wheel straightener. For that size tire it should run about $100-$110.

Turns out the loud knock is form the rear control...

Turns out the loud knock is form the rear control arm with a bad bushing. Still $400 at a dealer to fix but better than a subframe tear.
