As stated in my earlier post, the BMW diff fluid is probably good for the life of the car. When I changed mine at 90k miles the fluid was still nearly clear.

I think I have the GM tranny.

Not sure I want to change the filter since the plugs are really clean. Only the fluid needs to be changed. Plus dropping the pan is pretty messy.

Update: I cleared the codes with the Peake tool....

Update: I cleared the codes with the Peake tool. Then drove the car for 200 miles with no codes popping up.

Today the car passed California SMOG test with flying colors. Guess everything is fine...

Finally, got to do it today. But only changed the differential fluid. The auto transmission fill bolt is a T40 torx in such a tight space, my torx socket with the wrench cannot even get in there....
