Is that not a Torx bolt? I'm guessing T30 or T40. They have both 3/8 and 1/2 drive socket/driver at Lowe's. I'm sure Autozone also has them.

@trj: The 1-series will eventually become FWD due to CAFE regulations I believe. I need to do some research on that, but no way will I ever buy another FWD car....
