It's not a fabric. This material is designed to be used on exteriors/outdoors and has a life span of ~4 years, when done so. Contrary to popular belief, it does rain in socal every once in a while. Even I am not brave enough to go through all of that work just to have something that could/would be that easily ruined by something as simple as rain/snow.
