Hello,

I was having issues with my car warming up, my diagnosis was that the thermostat was stuck open. I changed it and flushed the coolant during the process.

My car warms up normally now and has an average temperature of 90 during city driving. I am in Ontario canada and our average temp out right now is 0 degrees.

While idling for about 20 mins at a car wash line up I checked my temp and was at 111, I turned the heat on and it dropped to about 101.

I am worried because the rad fan did not come on.

2 questions:

1. What is the max temperature allowable during idle?

2. At what temperature is the fan supposed to come on?

any input is appreciated.
