AST 4100 Experience
I'm having horrible AST 4100 experiences.
Ordered AST 4100 kit with Vorshlag camber plates for E46 M3.
9/2/2010 - Sent in order. Was told all parts should be there by next weekend.
9/7/2010 - Took off TCK SA to sell to co-worker, getting car ready for install.
After I ordered I was notified the camber plates were out of stock so they would ship a couple of days late. No worries, I planned on installing them 9/11 anyways. Camber plates and springs would be shipped together.
9/9/2010 - Received the AST 4100 shocks without springs/camber plates. Camber plates didn't show up yet and couldn't get updated on if they even shipped yet. Multiple parts are missing, shims to install RSM were missing, rear spring platforms missing. Great, cars going to be down even longer.
9/10/2010 - Inspected all the parts. Turns out one of my rear shox was a dead out of the box, really, no OQC to ensure working parts are shipped out? AST would not cross ship me a new part, instead I'll be down 2 more weeks to send the defective parts in, have it get fixed, and wait for it to be returned.
9/17/2010 - Received Camber plates and springs, wheee, 2 weeks after ordering. Installed front assembly only to find out I have 14.5" from center of the wheel to my fender at full droop. Front ride height could only be set to 13" with just a little bit of compression on the spring.
9/22/2010 - Expected date to receive rear shox.
so... It'll be 3 week from initial order date to until I receive all my parts (hopefully fully working) and I have a total of 14.5" of droop. Not a happy customer, should have just kept what I already had.

Inside every good car is a bunch of wires and mechanical stuff... oh, and a driver.
