Hello, I'm planning to buy BMW M3 E46 and I've ordered an inspection for one vehicle

There was one thing I couldn't understand, it was told that:

There were irregular thumping noises audible while driving at
slow to normal speeds that sounded like a failed hub bearing type noise

Can this be something serious?

What do you think about the condition of this vehicle?
