I was making a considerable amount more working for a staffing company but was pulling insane hours and much higher stress.... It's great when life affords you an opportunity to correct your career. When the economy tanked, so did our bonuses. I thought the reduction in income was the end of the world, it was actually the best thing that could happen.
While my family felt a bit of a pinch, we are able to be together more and my long term career outlooks will be much brighter.
