I just started doing chin ups and pull ups again recently. Forgot how good of an upper body workout they are. Biceps, Triceps, Lats, Abs, Upper Back were all very sore next day.
If you want to lose the love handles I suggest more ab work. Side crunches, sit ups should help with your cardio. These are simple and can be done at home. Plus everything in life is easier with stronger abs
