First take a sheet of 8" by 11" paper & fold it to: Cone shaped, then flatten cone into oval. Now since you can visualize what I'm saying, build it out of 18 gauge steal sheet, one end is 3" round & the other end is whatever flattened oval dimensions you like. As long as it calculates to flowing the same or better than the original 3" round pipe.
