I think if I do this, it will have to be done in stages, as I acquire components. I assume one leaves the crossovers out if leaving the stock HU and amp in place?

It will look stock as there is no door panel modification, The mid speaker is no longer mounted to the door panel. What I did was attach a 6.5" mdf ring to the door but you do need to use a dremel to cut an opening to clear the magnet. I then seal the door with dynamat and the entire door cavatity becomes the enclosure. It sound awesome! I try to take pics to give you an idea.

I used an alpine head unit and amp to run this set.
