You could look into buying some used Continental (aka Hoosier) tires. I was selling them for $100/set to guys that track their cars. I don't have any right now but there are plenty of race teams out there that have them. As long as you can live with a slick that is not DOT approved and comes in a 225/45/17. You can pretty much beat the pulp out of these tires and they keep going.
