Lol at people suggesting Midwestern states as viable options over SoCal!!! What in the hell even compares out there? Nothing! Having been born and raised in the Midwest, I know this.
OP, good luck with your endeavor. I would suggest looking at areas you like and make a list of what's important to you and your family and what you want out of the move. SoCal is a great place to live, and having the means to do so makes it that much better!
