Not sure how common it is with the M3's, but you should just have the plates welded in if everything is apart for bushing replacement. The added labor is dropping the gas tank and doing the cleaning/welding. I'd say 5-6 hours max if the mechanic knows what he is doing.

You will be pretty upset if you get all the bushing done and end up having a subframe mount failure later on...
