That is normal...you will learn to use the throttle/clutch over time to prevent this from happening.

Same issue I had back when I bought my car 30k miles ago...I have had no clutch/throwout bearing issues. Every now and again this happens to me on hills and during parallel parking. Just drive the car some more.
