Yes, that's what I've discovered in my research about M56 injectors as well. I've been trying to figure out if they get louder if fuel pressure is low, but so far haven't found any solid data.

I think he meant the non-return valve in the pump.
The system should bleed off pressure slowly. It should fall 0.5 bar or less within 20-30 minutes of the pump being switched off.
