Downpipe to main exhaust, studs or bolts?
The other day I heard an exhaust leak. I lifted the car up to find with joy that it was the seal between the downpipe and the main pipe. See position of gasket at position 6 here. Great! Since I had removed the exhaust to do the clutch a few months ago, I figured it had just come loose. 1/8 turn on a wrench later and I'm holding half the bolt and nut in my hands. $***%
So now the question, is the threaded end a bolt that can be replaced, or a stud that is part of the down pipe/cat assembly? It looks like the latter, but I pray to the budget gods that it isn't
Before I use a BFH, does anyone know or have advice?
Edit: the forum is changing the link, replacing the middle with "LINK-BLOCKED". I'll c/p it straight and hope that works.
