depends on if the u joint is bad or not.
you need to remove the axle. remove the boot. clean the crap out of the joint with brake cleaner and whatever else. absolutely no grime in it. then grease the crap out of it.
then replace the boot.
if you DIY it should've be very expensive at all. just time consuming.
