Your least expensive solution for raising the rear suspension are using spring rubbers. Take a look here: http://www.springrubber.com/. Also, there are many choices of spring rubbers; just google it and you'll see.

These rubbers insert between coils to raise the car up. They are not that expensive. You could buy rubbers for all four corners of your car to nudge up the ride height. Just buy the right height spring rubbers.

This won't help you with your desire for a softer ride, but it will solve the low ride height issue, which seems to be at the core of your gripe.
