You probably don't need a new tie-rod!
Go to a BMW shop and tell them to heat it up with a torch and it will come free.
You may even still be in spec on the front left. Did you get a printout?
This is typical tire shop BS. You MAY need a new tie-rod if it has to be heated up so much that it damages the threads, but this is not usually the case. It's BS to assume it already needs replacement. Especially on a casually driven car with no previous sign of odd tire wear.
