Size: 17x7.5 & 17x8.5 (Staggered)
Tire: 225/50/17 & 245/40/17

Right now I have 225/45/17 Blizzacks in the front and need new rear tires for winter as my old ones have worn out. I was wondering what other size tire would fit for the rear as the 245/40 are pretty expensive. From the TireRack website they say there two sizes that should fit. Either 205/50 or 225/45. So I am very naive and was just wondering if either of these two will work for the rear? If not are there other sizes that would work? Just trying to get the cost down a little. Thank you in advance!!
Correct OE sizes are 225/45R17 front and 245/40R17 rear. For the OE rear wheel you can fit the 225/45R17 but not the 205/50R17.
