The only way I would buy ANY M3 is with all the service paper work, if there isn't a record....it wasn't done, it will save you all the headaches.
I bought mine with ~70k miles and spent ~$1.5k in doing all the preventative maintenance I could think of that the previous owner didnt do. When I bought the car it had new tires, brakes, rotors, clutch, guibo, tranny mounts, etc, a lot of the major non-DIY stuff (at least for me) was done.
Just my two cents. It also took me 3 months to find the right car.
