I don't get it? Why would my kid get shot?

If you had the power to predict that in the future I would never need to defend myself or someone else from harm, I probably would still carry.

I'd still own them for fun and sporting and to represent the 2nd Amendment which's impact and importance goes far beyond the above reasons

Firearms that are properly stored, secured, carried and kids educated on safety prevent your #1
