Last I was aware, the Torque app is only for Driod devices.

I have the Toque Pro app and the ELM327 and I do use it, but the CReader is far easier and more reliable in my opinion.

Torque Pro with the ELM327 Bluetooth adapter is probably the cheapest solution going, but does have a steep learning curve.

I have about 8 different scan tools and software packages and I can assure you my CReader is the first tool grabbed and used on any car, the I move on as needed to other tools.
