Hi i drive a 320d E46 the key has never worked by remote so have always used the key to lock and

unlock. Yesterday i locked the car and heard something
fall down inside the door. I was locked out with no way of getting in. Had to pop a rear window to get in very messy.I have ordered a lock repair kit from e bay. Can someone explain how to remove the door lock without taking the door apart??
