It's a good buy only if the engine hasn't overheated (look for signs of coolant stains or overheating) and inspect front and rear shock/strut towers as well. Also inspect rtab pockets.

I notice you say this will be a daily driver. At around 150k is when the entire car needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. Control arm pair is $500 (without bushings) and will definitely need replacing (for starters).

Buying a used E36 M3 with that kind of mileage on it is an absolute expensive commitment. Just be prepared for it.

Cannot--I repeat--CANNOT just buy this car for asking price and drive it.
