Less time in the gym and learning new movements and using equipment that you wouldn't find at most "normal" gyms.

The things that most people like best and that keep them coming back are the competitive nature of it and the sense of community that develops.
CrossFit is pretty much singlehandedly responsible for the decline in equipment pricing and the resurgence of olympic lifting. Those are the two main benefits I have seen from it personally.
