Coilovers is the easy answer. They are adjustable (if you buy the right kind), and can handle auto-x, track better. HOWEVER, if you don't need adjust-ability, don't auto-x (or not a ton), don't track, coilovers can be overkill as far as budget. You can get your car lower, improve handling, and still have a great ride with a spring/shock combination and easily save $500 or more for other mods. Both are the right answer, it just depends on your usage, needs, budget. Check out places like Turner Motorsports for example, which sells both. I went with an H&R Cup Kit.
