From everything I've read about their interaction, it was minimal at best. The onus is on the coach, imo. He sees the guys practice all week and he's the football expert.

We didn't cross the 50 yrd line in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th qtr. b/c RG3 was playing on 1 leg. So, not only was Shanahan risking RG3's future, he was leaving a guy in the game that did not give the team the best chance to win.
