The general, though not real scientific, rule is 1 KG lighter is roughly equivalent to adding 0.3 horse power in terms of the quarter mile anyway.

So in order to add the equivalent of 9 horsepower you would need to remove 30KG of weight.

Just as a side note one other good way of lightening your car is rolling around with not much in the tank. 1 liter of gas weighs 0.7 KG.
