There are still a good amount of idiots in this country, but with an AWB that lasted a decade with pretty much no positive results, and AW's becoming more prevalent in the last decade, I don't see how all of that won't factor into this decision.

You don't see how this won't factor into their decision? You think Feinstein or most anti-gun politicians care about the 1994 AWB statistics? They don't really care about the gun statistics or if the ban will really work. I'm not disagreeing with the common sense and logic behind your statements, but you have to understand how and why laws are passed. Some politicians obviously have an agenda right now...
