Good question. I'm told the car is in the 2,450lbs range empty. Thanks to the carbon fiber body as well as components such as magnesium rear control arms. This was an early car and originally came with aluminum control arms. However over the years it was converted to magnesium. Lighter yes. But. Additional matinence due to potential electrolysis.
