Concern is another and different transient that can overwhelm a Panamax and protection already inside the TV. In every facility that cannot have damage, that solution is always located at the service entrance. Where wires enter the building. Then everything - not just a TV - is also protected. That least expensive solution is also the only solution used for protection from another and typically destructive surge.

Any protection mounted in a wall receptacle typically exists inside appliances. Another and different anomaly can overwhelm that already existing protection.
