Ok, this is really stupid! I went outside to the car, and just out of curiosity, disconnected the battery. Left it alone for a couple of seconds, reconnected the battery, and lo and behold! I can select the changer/iPod. What the??? I mean, I don't want to do this every time I want to use the iPod!
