There is no way to directly wire the inputs from the steering wheel to the head unit. All of the aftermarket accessories that perform this function (I recommend, as did cls1000, the PAC SWI-X) receive inputs from the wheel buttons and produce an IR output that controls the headunit via its remote control input. Basically you program the unit to emit an IR burst that matches the input of the signal it is receiving from the wheel.
