I'd recommened 20's, but if you really want 22's, you're going to have to drop it in order to ensure that it doesn't look like you actually LIFTED the vehicle.

The reason that maroon 6er looks more proportional is because it's also got some low side skirts on there to make the car appear closer to the ground. I think with 22's, a drop and more importantly, low ground effects are going to be needed if you want it to look right.
