Has anyone out there either installed or seen installed an SMG oil cooler? In preparation for racing an SMG E46 M3 in the So Cal heat next year, I'm looking into this.
I believe the SMG fluid reservoir (located next to the plenum) has just a single host to it and therefore is not recirculating (like the power steering fluid reservoir which has 2 hoses and a pump) so that will add to the complexity of this project. The new M6 has an SMG cooler but I haven't been under one of those yet to see how they did it. Maybe there are some parts to steal off that car.
Any info or thoughts on this would be great.
