i've seen aftermarket oil gauge companies suggest remote mounting electric oil senders for high performance applications. what i was wondering is why companies dont have you take a pipe tap to AN fitting adapter and use a line to go to whatever needs oil, and instead of drilling a hole in the oil pan and tapping it, make a fitting to replace the oil drain plug as the return hole that seals like a drain plug on one end, and has an AN fitting on the other. All you'd have to do to change oil would still be take the one thing off. then no tapping of the anything is required, and all is reversable. any thoughts?
